Herd Report Spotlight: Wagonhammer Ranches 51st Annual Total Performance Production Sale

The 51st Annual Total Performance Production Sale at Wagonhammer Ranches is right around the corner, and on this edition of the Herd Report Spotlight Series, host Scott Beck travels to Albion, Nebraska, to learn more about the program behind the cattle. Wagonhammer Ranches will host their annual sale Wednesday, March 18 at 1 p.m., featuring 190 bulls along with a select group of elite open heifers. This year’s offering includes: • 153 Angus bulls • 37 Simmental and SimAngus bulls • 34 elite open heifers including Angus, SimAngus, and a complete dispersion of Charolais yearling heifers Scott visits with the Wagonhammer team about the genetics behind the offering, the long history of the program, and what commercial cattlemen can expect from this year’s sale. Sale events begin Tuesday, March 17, with cattle on display throughout the day and a social and dinner at 5 p.m.. The sale continues Wednesday with cattle viewing, lunch at noon, and the auction beginning at 1 p.m. If you’re looking for performance-driven genetics backed by more than five decades of breeding experience, this is a sale you won’t want to miss.
